Traits

For trait information, a distinction is generally made between characterization and evaluation.

Characterization data are usually related to morphological traits and are generally collected from field trials or during the regeneration of accessions. Evaluation data are usually related to germplasm performance, such as resistance to pest and diseases, resistance to abiotic stress or the amount of contained chemical compounds. The following overview of trait categories intends to guide you to germplasm for which trait data have been collected. This will allow you to select material based on trait information.
